How Markswipe collects, uses and protects your personal data, including the videos you upload, how long we keep them, and how to have your account and files deleted.

Welcome to Markswipe's Privacy Policy. This document explains how we collect, use, protect and handle your personal information when you use our video marks removal service at https://markswipe.com/. The core of our service is simple: you upload a video, we send it to a third-party AI video processing provider, and you get a cleaned version back. This policy explains exactly what happens to that video.
Your privacy is important to us, and we are committed to protecting your personal data in compliance with applicable data protection laws and regulations.
We may collect the following types of information:
We use your information for the following purposes:
Your video is sent to the third-party processing provider identified below so it can complete the erasing request. That provider handles the video under its own terms and privacy commitments. Do not upload a video unless you have the right to process it and send it to that provider.
We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to provide our services and fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy. Specifically:
Files deleted at your request are removed from our live storage promptly. Our infrastructure providers may retain limited backup or security copies for a short period under their own retention policies.
The free result is a watermarked, reduced-resolution preview provided through a link-accessible URL. Anyone who obtains that preview link may be able to view it while the file remains available, so do not treat the link as a private sharing channel. The preview is not the private clean master at the processed source resolution. The master is kept private and is available only through Markswipe's controlled download process after the required account and unlock checks.
Input videos are removed after the processing provider reaches a completed or failed state. If a request is interrupted, a bounded background reconciliation process retries the cleanup. Guest previews and other guest results are subject to the seven-day retention period; account results remain until account deletion or an earlier supported deletion request. Cleanup is designed to converge within these processes, but it is not guaranteed to be instantaneous.
If the provider may have accepted a request but we cannot correlate it to a job ID, we keep retrying output cleanup and schedule both input copies for deletion no later than 24 hours after that uncertainty is recorded. A failed deletion remains queued for retry.
To have your videos and results deleted, delete your account — that removes the stored files as well — or email us at support@markswipe.com if you want them removed without closing your account. Emailed requests are actioned manually, so allow us a few working days.
We use practical safeguards appropriate to the service, including encrypted HTTPS connections, access-controlled production accounts, restricted service credentials, and authentication controls. Our infrastructure providers apply their own security and backup measures to the systems they operate.
However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
We do not sell your personal information. We may share your data with:
